The 2026 state elections accelerated a multi-polar fracture: UMNO may be reviving, PH is cracking from within, and PAS is gaining ground despite its own divisions. No coalition can plan for ten years when it may not survive the next vote. The next general election looms by 2027.
Almost 4 in 10 graduates are working in jobs that do not need their degrees. Wages have been flat. The gig economy is the early warning: 1.64 mln workers, over half earning below RM1,500, most with zero safety net. The human resources minister warns up to 697,000 jobs could disappear within three to five years. And when they do — who pays? You.

Meanwhile, young Malaysians are searching online for trust and meaning as they face anxieties over climate change, economic uncertainty, and conflict. And as the Sultan of Perak warns, algorithms now "preach" more persuasively than religious leaders. Extremists are exploiting this void, weaponising scripture at machine speed.
